Christmas Tree Thesis
The Christmas tree is annually prepared by her majesty's command for the royal children. The tree employed for this festive purpose is a young fir of about eight feet high, and has a six tiers of branches. On each tier, or branch, are arranged a dozen wax tapers. Pendant from the branches are elegant trays,baskets, bonbanniers , and other things for sweetmeats of the most varied and expensive kind;and all forms, colours, and degrees of beauty.The first settlers had their choice of endless evergreens for Christmas decorations. Misletoe and holly could not be found in the more northern climates, but cranberries were a good substitute
