Chuck Run Away Research Paper
Nature is all around us and even if we don’t think we need it, we do. Nature is the main reason chuck survived. He understood that he needed to use the nature for good and not abuse it, because quantity was limited. Which I think everyone should take into consideration because when we all abuse nature we tell ourselves that we have plenty of it and ruining some won’t be a big deal. Without properly functioning nature, the world will probably end. Chuck realized he needed to be super useful and when he found something new and abundant to not get greedy because if he did, he would run out. When Chuck first reached the island, he didn’t put a lot of deep thought into how he should go about using his resources and he just went ahead and starting …show more content…
When Chuck finally gets rescued, he always points how the little things to be grateful for like the ice in your cup or simply the amount of water bottles in your car. Going through all of this made Chuck a better person. He was so thankful for every little thing he had, on and off the island, because he now understood he may not have it for long. He realized that he should not have gotten on the plane in the first place. He should have cherished the holidays with Kelly. Chuck didn’t know that would be the last time he saw her for a long time, which shows that no matter how much time anyone spends with someone, they should cherish it. Being stuck on an island for four years helped Chuck. He learned to slow down… time was so important to him, but he noticed that who you were with and what you had in that time was the important part. I'm not saying that I should go to a deserted island for four years, but it would definitely be a wake up call for me to stop taking things for granted. I took new ideas and values home after watching Castaway, just like Chuck when he was finally back to

At the drop of a dime, I remove my dinosaur pajamas, darting through the corridors of my house, racing to get into the TV room so I can catch my hero in action. I hastily grab the remote as I change the TV to Channel 5. It is exactly 7:00 AM. My heart pounds against my young chest as I watch Bugs Bunny present the title sequence to my favorite show Looney Toons. I sit on the cold hardwood floor, legs bouncing up and down, barely able to tame my excitement. As the show starts, I nervously watch and listen, awaiting the wild chase of the most intense pursuit…

After Chuck Noland is "chucked" onto an inhabited island, we as an audience immediately see various symbolisms of hope. As an example, in order to survive, he begins to open the FedEx boxes with high anticipations that they will consist of something useful. However, there is a certain package decorated with a pair of golden wings that he keeps sealed. It is inferable that by doing so, he is hoping to repossess his previous life in order to return the unopened box to its rightful owners. Striving to deliver one of the package kept him alive because it gave him a reason to live and a drive to survive, since doing so requires escaping the island which is his ultimate goal. Chuck also saves the locket containing the picture of his fiancée, which plays the same role as the undamaged package. It provides hope that there is a future waiting for him if he simply manages to escape. The fire created plays an important role as well; after multiple tries and failures, he finally achieves a spark. Before this achievement, Chuck had a very negative attitude towards his situation which immediately changes after succeeding. He is exhilarant and begins to yell and dance in excitement. He now has more hope since chance of survival is much greater with fire. He will likewise be able to be seen by passing ships, which provides a possibility of rescue. Soon after, for the first time in the entire movie,…
