EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Suresh Enterprises private limited [SEPL] is one of the largest real estate developer and construction company in the northern part of Karnataka state in India. Despite successfully completing many projects, they have experienced numerous difficulties in certain projects due to poorly defined project scope and poor synchronization between the owners, designers and contractors, which have led to delay in schedule and created cost over burden and had an impact on the company’s brand image. The main intention of this report is to propose the implementation of front end planning and alignment best practice in the company’s upcoming projects using CII developed tools like PDRI and Alignment thermometer, which will improve the performance, reduce the risks involved and achieve successful project completion.
INTRODUCTION
The construction industry in India is still in the nascent stages and there is a need to introduce and implement the CII best practices to effectively improve the performance of various factors such as cost, schedule and safety of the construction industry.
