Cigarette Ashes Monologue
Cigarette ashes flying in the air,
The wind blow them my way.
And charred filter left a scar on my hand.
I see you from far walking my way,
And the pain that I feel is no longer so real.

Erotic moonlight,
Will forbid the word "no."
And gently fell on the

Cancer By: Emily Hamil ----------------------------------- We sat in a cold room, not really speaking. It was still rather early in the morning, so the sun had not yet enveloped the sky. Dew still littered the slightly open window panes and fog still carpeted the vibrant green grass. My head was bent down slightly, and I was fiddling with the end of my warm gray sweatshirt.…

I, Captain Torres, who believes that our country should have better conditions, am here to bring out a new revolution! You people, who oppose us, definitely did not think it through! Have you ever thought about your living conditions? Wouldn’t you want to improve it? Or make it a better place for all of us to live in? Look at yourself and look at people around you! Don’t you people see what’s going on in our country? Do any of you even have the mood to just smile for one second? Eight years ago, November 18, 1968, in Turkey, Richard Moses, the leader of the Turkish people in a town, brought out a revolution! It was a total success! You stupid people didn’t know about it, did you? Every single person in Turkey cheered for the dramatic change! They received good food, decent wages, ethical living conditions, and millions more! Don’t you want any of those fantastic conditions? Take some time to think about your stupid actions stopping us! Think precisely! This is actually not only for our advantages, but also for the good of everyone single person here in this town! I command all of you to listen to me and support me! You will be living in broken houses, wearing torn clothes and barely having any food supplies! So, stop complaining about foolish people. Now, do not waste my precious time! Let’s get out of here! Let’s leave all these foolish people here and get on our way to the new revolution! Let’s go, I said…

Everyone goes through suffering at some point in life. Some suffer from diseases and physical pain, while others suffer from emotional and mental pain. Sometimes, the suffering stops, in others it just keeps on going. As stated by Jimmy Whales, the founder of Wikipedia, “suffering is an individual's basic affective experience of unpleasantness and aversion associated with harm or threat of harm.” In other words, no one likes to suffer, yet, when life makes you, there is nothing you can do about it. In the play, “Death of a Salesman,” by Arthur Miller, Biff Loman, Willy Loman’s son suffers the most from Willy’s illusions and imaginations by having Willy lack parental guidance since the beginning, Willy thinking appearance in the key to success,…

Cancer… I'm screaming, crying and I feel like I'm dying. That's because I am. I was diagnosed 6 months ago, and the doctors have been telling me to 'Fight' and 'Just hold on' ever since. Every time I wake up I'm in a hospital bed staring at the ceiling and wondering how I'm still alive, but as I get told constantly I am. When I was first rushed to the hospital it was because my ribs felt like they were caving in on me and made it hard to breathe, I was taking long but wheezing breaths.…
