Cinderella Summary
Cinderella is a traditional fairy tale based on the central character, Cinderella. Cinderella is living happily with her mother and father until her mother dies. Cinderella's father remarries a cold, cruel woman who has two daughters, Drizella and Anastasia, who make Cinderella do all their work.
They get an invitation to the ball but Cinderella does not and she is very upset. Suddenly, a fairy godmother appears and helps Cinderella get to the ball. At the ball Cinderella dances with the Prince who falls in love with her. When the clock turns midnight she runs fast as she could and the prince run to hurry Cinderella. But Cinderella left behind her glass shoes.

To solve this problem, the prince goes to every single house in kingdom and tries the shoe on lots of women throughout the land. He also goes to Cinderella’s home. The evil step-sisters couldn’t fit the slipper, but Cinderella did. Then the prince married her and they all lived happily ever after.

    First of all, the description given of Cinderella is much more detailed and specific than the description given of Little Red Riding Hood. Readers of Cinderella’s story know that her mother died when she was very young, that her father remarried a woman who doesn’t care much for Cinderella, and that she now has two wicked step-sisters, Anastasia and Drizella, who make the concept of a blended family little more than a nightmare for Cinderella. The reader immediately feels a sense of sympathy for Cinderella. Some readers may have lost a parent themselves, and many have experienced “step” relationships that were less than ideal, to say the least. They may also feel that, like Cinderella, they too have to do all the work in their home, whether it’s washing the dishes or scrubbing a soot-encrusted fireplace.
