Movie Citizen Kane is about Charles Foster Kane, and his life story and it's kind of told by a reporter asking his “friends” order rather than make all them people whom he may have known deeper than just saying hello to. The movie starts off with Kane laying in bed and then dying while saying the famous quote from the movie “Rosebud”. Then it goes to reporters watching the news on the March which is a bit basically a short five minute documentary on Kane's life. Then after that they saw the reporter Jerry Thompson to go question for people about if they knew anything about “Rosebud”. The first person Mr. Thompson interviews is Susan Alexander. The first time he shows up she is drunk. And she basically yelled at him to leave and so he does.
After that he goes to his Walter Parks Thatcher’s journal room. And so Mr. Thompson reads the journal and learns a lot about his childhood. He learned that his mother hired Mr. Thatcher to take care of Kane, And help him manage his money once he inherited all of it at the age of 25.
Then he goes and interviews Mr. Bernstein. And with this interview we learn about how he took over the Inquirer, and how we lost $1 million per year and …show more content…
The main aspect of the light is to show who's telling the truth. So like when he wrote the declaration of principles he wrote them and read them in the shadows because he eventually wouldnt end up following it and then ended up breaking what he promised. Or like when Mr. Thompson read Thatcher’s journal it was in the light because it told the truth. And it was the closest to “Rosebud” that anyone guesses. Then during the scene from Susan’s point of view where she sees Kane just sitting there while everyone's clapping he's sitting in the light. Which portrays it to be him saying he didn't like it and it was a bad performance but then he stands up to clap and then his face is put into the shadows as he's clapping because he's
