Are you a part of the 61% of people that think country life is better? Or are you a part of the 39% of people that think city life is better? 61% of people say that country life is better than city life, while 39% say that city life is better. (Is Country Life Better than City Life?) Their reasons include, the healthier air in the country, because of the lesser amount of pollution. The freedom to build houses, grow gardens, own animals and own land. Also, in the country there is way less traffic and crime rates than in the city. Living in the city may have its advantages, but overall, living in the country is better for you and your health.

Although driving a car in the country releases some pollution, the trees will clean the air, unlike in the city, where if you walk, you have to breathe in the dirty, full of pollution air and if you drive, you release tons of pollution and there isn’t near enough trees to clean it all. Therefore, driving a car in the country is better for your health and the environment than walking, or driving a car in the city. (Country Living vs. City Living) The opposing side will argue about the lack of technology and internet out in the country. They will say that you don't have any opportunities in the country, this is all accurate to an extent, but in reality, there are opportunities. Living in the country will make you a stronger and more independent person. You won't have to rely on the internet to live, you don't have to rely on other people to live, and you don't have to rely on all the latest technology to live. You, in other words, learn to accept what you have and you embrace it. (City Life vs Country Life: An Unbiased

Who wants to walk out of their front door and see nothing but a concrete jungle filled with too many cars? certainly not me! In the country, there is space between you and your annoying neighbors. Having privacy in the city is like trying to grow an oak tree in a thimble. In the country, you can walk out of your front door and see a blue, pollution free sky, the birds are chirping, and maybe upon a distance you see a couple horses or cows. There is no curfew at night time, no annoying patrolling police officers, and you can have a bonfire at your own leisure. Cities are overloaded with people and it proves nearly impossible to step outside without being seen or heard by other people.…

My primary reason for choosing the country instead of the city is the clean environment. The air smells fresh and clean, because there are less cars creating pollution. In the city, there are busses, taxis, and cars on all the streets contributing harmful chemicals into the air. While automobiles are not the only cause of pollution, there are also more factories and plants to pollute the air. In the country, the only major industry would be farming, which does not pollute the air in any way. There are more people in the city breathing the air and less forest area to help control the pollution. Since there are less people in the country than in the city, the amount of littering on the roads is also less. The polluted air is very harmful to the human body and that is why I will choose to raise my family in the country where there is less pollution. The clean environment is not the only reason that I will choose to live in the country.…

Being the oldest and having two younger sisters that looked up to me left a lot of responsibility that at times seemed like more than I could handle. I grew up in a very loving home with both my dad and mom in my life. My parents always made sure that I surrounded myself with good friends and they also made sure before I could ever hangout with them that they had parents they could trust. I have been a part of two amazing churches growing up with two incredible preachers that I have taught me a lot of what I know today. Living is the country is the best place to have a home. The first reason county living is better is the lower crime rate. In the country, gangs do not walk by family houses and children are not picked off of their front lawns while they are playing. Additionally, interlopers do not break into houses in the middle of the night, letting people be at ease while they are at home. The second reason why country living is better is the lower pollution levels. With fewer people come fewer cars and factories belching carbon monoxide into the air. This results in the air being fresh and clean rather than noxious and dirty. In the country, most people do not throw trash all over the ground. The lands are beautiful and clean and all trash is in the garbage can, unlike the city. Finally, the country is a better place to live due to the natural aura. The country atmosphere is great for raising kids and providing a healthy lifestyle. The children are able to run freely in the woods and plains. The nature all around provides chances to learn about plants and animals, such as coyotes, ferns, oak trees, and snakes. Parents can take their kids for walks and talk about the natural environment all around them. Another example of the wonderful atmosphere is the peaceful solitude. The luxury of going for a quiet, relaxing walk is always an option. In conclusion, the country is a safe place to raise a family, experience nature and have a healthy…

Even though living in a city may be attractive to some with the said preference, it also has disadvantages. A person who lives in a city is prone to expose themselves to pollution emitting from cars, buses, and factories. The city environment is relatively more polluted than being out in the country. On the contrary, in a rural area, villagers enjoy fresh air and stay in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Rivers in a city are generally polluted, whereas people living in a countryside use their pure water. Furthermore, traffic is also a problem for metropolitans. The streets are crowded with cars and pedestrians that make life tense.…
