City Of Brimbank Case Study
The city of Brimbank was established on the 15th of December 1994.
This came about after a merger with the former cities of Keilor and Sunshine. Brimbank is the second largest City in Melbourne and the largest in the Western area of Melbourne. Its location is based in the western and north-western suburbs of Melbourne and is a 10 to 20 km distance from Melbourne’s city centre.
During a Census run in 2011, the city of Brimbank had a current population of 182,735 residents, and is one of Victoria’s most culturally diverse cities and prides itself on that, having accepted into their community over 156 nationalities from around the world.
