First, an economic difference of North, South, and West is the one of the essential sectionalism in U.S. The North part of U.S is heavily based on the manufacturing such as a ship, train, etc... which requires the sophisticated machine invented in the industrial revolution. Therefore the slavery was not necessary. In contrast, Southern people, specifically white landowners were depended on the producing raw material, such as cotton, gin, and corn. Also in western part of U.S, it depended on the producing ore, so the slavery was necessary to Southern people. Due to their unique economic systems, they had conflict and disagreement each other about abolishing slavery, which leads the civil war.

In 1860, the day when the one revolutionist became the president of U.S, who is Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln is a representative of Republican Party in U.S. The Republican is the political party that insists abolition of Slavery. As the representative of Republican became the president of U.S, most Southern States did not agree that Abraham Lincoln becomes the president of U.S. Therefore the Southern States of America were starting to make their union called “Confederate States of America, ” and the Civil war emerged between Confederate and Union that Union wanted to reunite the U.S while Confederacy wanted to stay as independent from U.S.
Therefore, due to the sectionalism of U.S such as economic difference of North, South, and west, difference political value of North and South, and the Presidential election in 1860 led the U.S into Civil
