When it comes to Peggy Hettricks case it has been cold for many of decades. This was a mystery case in 1987 and in August 10, 1998 Timothy Masters was charged with Peggy’s death. When reading this case Timothy Masters was released and dismissed of all charges in 2008. When it came to the roles in this case they were very hard to follow in my opinion. The prosecutor had the role to present the State’s case against the defense which he/she had to prove that it was in Mr. Masters knife collection, his drawings, failure to report seeing Peggy’s body, and the time frame of the homicide. Which with that being said that is why he was a suspect of Peggy Hettrick murder. It took the police several years with them trying to build a case and which didn’t come up with too much evidence.…

I believe that officer Smith did have every reason to pull over the car in question because there was not only the appearance of a broken tail light that had been taped up but also the car resembled a vehicle that had been used in the commission of another crime, that being the road side killing of another officer. Officer Smith’s observation that the vehicle may be the one in question from the killing of the other officer, she has every right to ask the occupant of the car to get out for a pat down for not only her safety but the safety of any others. Even though the woman didn’t have any weapons on her the officer didn’t know and that’s why she requested the pat down. Had the woman been carrying any weapons when the officer approached the car the officers life would have been in immediate danger so the officer error on the side of caution and did the right thing with the pat down.…

You say you would like to receive study tips from me. My first tip is this: seriously consider what you mean by the word 'study'. If you have never considered this, then listen to what I have to say. To study means to train your mind on a point. If you are looking intently at an insect on a leaf, and your mind is focused in it, then you are studying the insect. Your mind, Samarth, is like a torch that can be focused on a particular point to illuminate that point.…

“Gun control? We need bullet control! I think every bullet should cost $5,000. Because if a bullet cost $5,000, we wouldn’t have any innocent bystanders.” (Rock, 1999) Chris Rock got a big laugh when he expressed his comical stance on the issues with guns. With the heart-wrenching reality of the Virginia Tech massacre, the issue of whether or not guns should be allowed on college campus has returned to the forefront of debates, and this is no longer a laughing matter. The country is torn between Gun right activist who are for the right to bear arms on campuses, and those who feel the same “rights-to-bear-arms” are the reason these college gun-crimes exist. It is important to know what is stated in the Second Amendment how the rights of the people are affected. In addition, the reader will learn about the two grass roots organizations on polar ends of the debates: the N.R.A. and the Brady Campaign. Are guns and schools politically ethical or social no-no’s? The question that is on everyone’s mind is how schools can become safer. Cops-in-class may be a theory that may help promote safer college campuses throughout the United States. The conclusion of this paper will contain the Author’s disposition on the unrelenting issue: should guns be allowed on college campuses?…

When an individual commits a crime, he or she will automatically begin justifying his or her reasons. The justification or excuse could range from self-defense to a mental illness. In this instance the question remains, is there any reason for the justification or an excuse for one’s criminal actions (K. Randall, Personal Communication, August 16, 2013). Every individual could carry out a criminal act but not the ability in a mental sense to understand the severity of what he or she has done (K. Randall,…

The word crime is defined as conduct in violation of the criminal laws of a state, the federal government, or a local jurisdiction for which there is no legally acceptable justification or excuse (Schmallager, 2011, p. 7). In other words crime is an action taken that violates local, state, or federal laws that is not legally justified or excused. Crime is related to the law because crime is in itself defined by the laws of the city, state, and country that we live. An example would be that it is illegal or a crime to smoke in any public area in the city of Burbank while in the city of Los Angeles it is perfectly alright to smoke on a public sidewalk.…
