In the article “Dog Lab,” writer Claire McCarthy shares with readers her experiences during medical school. She would bury herself in her studies. She feels that school is the most important thing. McCarthy believed that in order to become a good physician her physiology mark must be significantly high because it was the subject she believed to be the most relevant in becoming a doctor, however, the class had a “dog lab.” It was not required, but recommended by the professor.
