Treaty of Geneva In 1869 she went to Geneva, Switzerland to rest and improve her health. There she learned about the treaty of Geneva which provided relief for the sick and wounded soldiers. A dozen nations signed the treaty except for the United States. She also learned about the international Red cross which provided disaster relief during war and peace.

Affected lives
The Red Cross helps us in our time of natural disasters the Red Cross is always there for us when something bad happens. No other hospital sends you help you have to go to them when you need help! The Red Cross goes to where they are most needed to attend you to feed you.
No Red Cross
If there was no Red Cross who would help us in our time of natural disasters the Red Cross is always there for us when something bad happens. No other hospital sends you help you have to go to them when you need help! The Red Cross goes to where they are most needed to attend you to feed you. This discovery has affected people's lives by helping them in their time in need. During terrible times and at good times. Life without the Red Cross would be a disaster people’s lives would be in danger when there would be war and on one to help. Also some people wouldn’t have even been here because the people Clara Barton saved from the Red cross could have been some of our ancestors and if our ancestors would have died we wouldn’t even had been here.
