According to information on the website AirNav Alliance airport is considered as an index A ("AirNav: KAFW - Fort Worth Alliance Airport", 2017). The airport and the fire department decided to make a business decision and they maintain an FAA index of E instead of the required A. By maintaining an index of E the fire department always has 3 ARFF vehicles on hand at all times for emergencies. Station 35 has procedures that must be followed daily to ensure the reliability of their emergency equipment. Conditions of probation and parole are primary factors that have an effect on a probationers post lock-up life. When determining conditions of probation and parole, the offender’s background plays a very vital role in the determination. A probation or parole officer has four functions that helps them figure out if probation and/or parole will be effective for each offender. “Supervision of sentenced probationers or released parolees is the most active stage of the probation/parole process” (Schmalleger, 2014). Applying these four functions to the situation of the Coatesville Fire Department in Coatesville, PA is no different.…

I am curious how accurate of records were kept on size of fires, if any records were kept and have survived until now. I don’t think that I ever mentioned it, but several of my uncles are firefighters currently in Virginia. I once had the opportunity to visit the Fire Department Museum and you would not believe how many historical documents that they have there. Obviously most of these documents are off limits to the public but I was able to talk one of the clerks into letting me review their records. Obviously I am very excited to see what I may be able to find.…

Immediately beyond the city’s boundaries are the neighboring cities of Cave Creek, Glendale, Scottsdale, Mesa, and Chandler. Because of the close proximity of neighboring towns they are often referred to as part of the Phoenix Metro area. The most common law enforcement that we see in our daily lives is the local police department. The main goal for the local law enforcement is to uphold the laws on streets and in their neighborhoods that they patrol. Our local police department consists of 83.5 employees, which of these 57 are sworn police officers (City of San Luis Obispo, 2012). Local law enforcement provides service to their community and to special assignments. Special assignments can include field training, crime scene investigator, SWAT, and others. Many individuals look at their local law enforcement as people who do not respect their community members. This is not the case in many situations. Law enforcement is in place to help communities and the individuals who live there. If there was no local law enforcement in communities, criminal activities would be out of control. If an individual respects a police officer they will give you the respect back.…
