As a current class officer, I feel that there is untapped potential for what the class council can do. I believe the next class council needs organization, communication, and a well defined mission with set goals. I am ready to bring my leadership skills and experience to the table to implement these three values. My leadership experience starts back in fourth grade when I was student council president two years in a row. I served on student council in middle school as well. In high school, I have had the great privilege and honor of being a student leader, both at the school as Class President, and statewide level. I was one of two elected Senators to represent this school’s club in the Youth Gold Senate of the PA Youth and Government program. For my sophomore year, I was elected to the position of Senate Minority Whip, giving me the opportunity to run party caucuses in the Senate and work to dozens of young leaders. Next year, there will be a lot going on with fundraising, prom, pep rallies, and other events. That is why I believe working towards goals with a deadline is crucial to success. I will set fundraising goals for each month, and make sure we have frequent fundraisers to make sure we have enough money to put on a great prom. I will also set deadlines for prom planning items as they arise. Working with a specific goal and a deadline will make the Council more efficient and effective.
