Class Monitoring and Management System(Not Finish)
1. Introduction
Learning is the basic foundation of knowledge it can be acquired in variety of ways like reading books, journals, newspapers, magazines or by personal experiences. Knowledge is very much essential and the quality of the knowledge acquired depends on the manner how knowledge was disseminated and how was knowledge acquired by the learner.
As technology grows fast, certain advancements are being developed nowadays and life is getting even better to live with. It makes every task as easy as possible and nothing seems too tiring if human tasks are aided with technology. It can be applied in any aspects of life; on medicines, sciences, military, and entertainment and even in the fields of education as a tool for advance learning.
"Good teachers are those who know how little they know. Bad teachers are those who think they know more than they don't know." [VERD2013].
STI College is the largest network of for-profit information technology-based colleges in the Philippines. This private college system offers a curriculum including business studies, computer science, education, engineering and health care. STI uses a trimestral calendar as opposed to the typical semestral collegiate education program mostly used by Philippine universities. STI has branches all over the Philippines and claims to be the second largest IT-based educational institution in Asia.

1.1. Background of the Problem
STI was organized in 1983, when entrepreneurs Augusto C. Lagman, Herman T. Gamboa, Benjamin A. Santos and Edgar H. Sarte set up the Systems Technology Institute to train people in programming and IT. At first there were two schools, and now there are more than 100.
Programs include: information and communications technology, engineering, health care, business & management, hospitality and tourism management. It is only STI College without meaning but the school for learning students. But still in this present, IT and CS courses is the largest population in this school.
The technological trends are changing the flow of modernization; most of the schools are now competed globally. Other than enrollment systems and library systems, the school needed a useful technological system that helps them in some ways. The proponents proposed a Computerized Class Monitoring and Management System (CMMS) that will help the faculty to teach in a unique and different way.
The Class Monitoring and Management System (CMMS) is not much become an integral part of the higher education system but still needed. It also allows monitoring of attendance at a time and provides accurate information to the higher ups. This system will provide accurate log-in / log-out of the students and instructor in the classroom. The system will also provide reports to the parent(s) or guardians(s), instructors, dean, director and guidance counselor of those students who are not attending or cutting classes. The system will also provide reports to the Dean or Director regarding the instructor’s performance in their attendance to their respective classes. 1.2. Overview of the Current State of Technology
STI College Balagtas Campus is currently maintaining and allocating classrooms to provide good and comfortable room areas of teaching. The attendance checker had a time schedule to check every classroom and maintain its harmony and unity. The attendance checker goes up and down stairs to visit every room if the class is ongoing or no classes. With the CMMS tool, there are many of its benefactors.
In foreign or local, as of now, we don’t have yet any related studies currently experiencing this kind of problems.

1.3. Project Rationale
The Computerized Class Monitoring and Management System (CMMS) will mainly benefit the STI College Balagtas Campus community mostly the instructors. To the students and instructors of the institute, it will greatly turn their usual way of classes into something different yet convenient. This will also promote service as well as technological excellence of the institute. To the future researchers, this documentation can be used as their reference material in developing their own computerized system. Lastly, it will give a great sense of achievement to the proponents in preparing for an even greater task which they may encounter in the future professions.
