Being a member of Best Buddies and SAVE, I demonstrate a strong sense of dedication for supporting others and lending a helping hand. The goals of both Best Buddies and SAVE are to further acceptance, embrace diversity, promote safety in schools, and spreading positive energy. As a student representative, my sole objective would be to help enlighten the school board and those in the community about the daily life at MHS, advocate for the 1,600 students currently attending, and respectively relay any helpful amendments that would benefit the Mukwonago Area School District. The multiple clubs I participate in and the copious amounts of friendships I developed with people that have contrasting passions also allow me to speak on behalf of a relatively large group of students. The students taking part in the same activities that I belong to range from freshman to seniors. The opinions of a freshman compared to that of a senior’s may vary drastically, and being a part of clubs with a sample of each year will give me an advantage to hear an assortment of…
I am running for this position due to the fact that I feel that Student Council is an important part of a school’s function. I believe that students should have a voice for decisions in school. I feel by running for Sergeant at Arms that I can bring Junior opinions to Senior officers.…
During the Non-Commission Officer Academy was when I interact with group thinking and learn how to adapt quick to others. This course made it more challenging due to the wide dynamic personality and different career fields with same rank. The majority of the classmates have been in a position power. It took couple of weeks for some members to become followers and the others to be in a leader position. The members that had issues we use the “team pressure to conform” (Adler, Elmhorst, & Lucas, 2013, pg. 206). Those members were just focusing on petty tasks. For example, we did not agree to which charity we were going to volunteer, so we keep reminding them that it was not worth it. After few weeks into the course and surpass the team building…
Last year I was asked to be a small group leader for incoming 7th grade students this year. Having known what it felt like to be a new student in a completely different school I jumped on the opportunity to help. I, like Billy tried to be open and welcoming, encouraging the 7th graders to become involved in the Xaverian community just like Billy did for me and I’m sure many others. My goal was to be able to help the 7th graders in any situation whether they needed advice or just want to share a funny story. As a student council senator I would try to do the same. I would strive to always be friendly and kind to all Xaverian students wanting everyone to feel welcome. I would encourage other to join clubs and activities and go on service projects like X-Act and Christmas in the city. Most of all I would want each and every student at Xaverian to feel accepted and to feel excited, knowing that they are each a key part in the larger, greater, Xaverian…
Within the variety of administrative activities for the Practicum A and B, I feel that I have leadership qualities that will enhance a school. I had the benefit of working along side different personalities of my administrative team. Each person has their own strengths and weaknesses. I can only hope that when I become an administrator that I can work with people compliment each other to function as an unstoppable team. Even through life’s journeys I still wanted to further my education and make my goal a reality. I find myself learning more and more about how I do have qualities to be become a successful school administrator. My greatest strength would be my passion and compassion. I have the adaptability to…
I enjoy organizing school or social events and coming up with creative ideas to help the students and faculty at KHS. Planning is a big part of my life, I love hosting events with others and helping organize it. A big part of student council is to stand tall and lead the right way and I love being a leader and helping others. This is why I think I would be a great help for the KHS student council…

Today was the day. The big day. My election for Lieutenant Governor of Division 2B for Key Club, an international service club, was today. Fear and anxiety pricked my skin in rapid movements emanating from every pore. I rehearsed my speech for the fifth time that day. Upon arrival at the Fairfax Library, I urged myself to remain calm. I quickly scouted out the other girls who were present; one girl was dressed professionally with a folder in her hand. I knew that was my competition. The girl spoke eloquently and genially, she radiated enthusiasm and a certain warmth that I did not have. With every question that was asked, she answered with a smooth smile and high-pitched tone that was dripping with sincerity. I bristled inside; I had just been slapped. I was shrouded in a cloud of anxiety and anxiousness. Suddenly, I was dragged from my reverie.…
During my time as the head of committees on the student council and National Honor Society, I’ve planned school dances, intramural activities, clothing and food drives, fundraising parties, and many other events. Utilizing my leadership skills and service experience, I would add to the social environment at Columbia by encouraging students to become more involved in the community and to participate in service that truly helps those in need. I’m an agent for positive change in whatever community I’m in and I anticipate being an active advocate for change in the Columbia community.…
My name is Kaleigh Gonzales I’m a 15 year old sophomore and I’m running for the 2014-2015 officer position of reporter for Armwood High Schools FFA Chapter. I feel I should be selected for this position because not only am I a people person but I am also extremely organized. I think this would make me be able to effectively and efficiently get the Armwood FFA’s chapter name known to the public. I would also try to do this by doing any and all public service projects we can get our hands on, then publishing our successes. I believe that to make a difference you have to be known and respected by the community around you. In the past three years I have served as Vice President for Burnett Middle School for two terms and Treasurer for Armwood high school for one term. In this time I’ve competed many events including forestry, land judging, vet assisting, OCC, creed speaking, and extemporaneous public speaking. By doing this I’ve gained lots of experience and love in our great organization. I believe to be this year’s reporter I have to not only work on our clubs public media aspects but also work hard in competitions to win and better our chapters’ reputation. If I were to describe the technique in which I lead I would have to say that I plan , I tell others my plan , and then I depend on my team to help me. They tell me where they specialize in and what they want to do for me, and we work form there. I try to let people do what makes them happy while still helping me. I can make a personal promise that I will always work my hardest to make FFA my top priority, a position like this requires my full attention. My other activity I engage in is that I am a First sergeant of alpha company in JROTC, this means I am the second in command of one of three company’s in our schools only JROTC battalion. I promise that my responsibilities there will not interfere with my responsibilities regarding FFA. Some activities I want to do this year are competitions like OCC and…
I am also capable of being an honorable leader. I am trustworthy and responsible. If something is expected of me, I try my best to live up to the expectations and strive to do even better. During my years in high school, I have participated in many organizations and leadership programs such as the ELL Youth Advisory at Sociedad Latina, Chinese Immigrant Students Leadership (ChISL) and Youth Advisory Group at Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center). I was selected as a peer mentor in ChISL. With my leadership ability, my teammates and I made a short video clip and won the White House AAPI video contest called the “Champion of…
If elected, you would find I am a responsible, determined, and hard working person. I am a dedicated student who very rarely earns below a B. I also feel I am creative and pay great attention to detail. I have shown this in my volunteer work with seniors, at Alma Via, and I have worked with children and adults with disabilities through the horse program at Sonoma State Hospital. I have helped organize family gatherings, outings, and set up for parties with flair and good times. I enjoy the aspect of planning and putting together the fun details for everyone to enjoy.…
As your president, I have a vision to bring diversity and dynamism to the student council and school as a…
1. I would like to be a class officer because I want to help my class in its future endeavors. Whether it is fundraising or planning for prom I would like to assist. I have many interesting ideas that could make prom an exciting event for not only our class but for the upcoming seniors. Additionally I am confident that junior class officers will teach me how to be a better leader and give me the opportunity to be in a leadership role.…
