A team of negotiators must act quickly towards the safest resolution of a situation, while relying on their training to do so. The men and women who serve as hostage negotiators in corrections do so because they want to use their skills to prevent one of their peers from being harmed.
The role of negotiators are not for everyone.A negator train for hours at a time to be the best at what they do. Everyday we as correction employees should learn how to talk to inmate in case of a crisis, because correction employees have an advantage over any other hostage negotiator the should know the inmate.
