Success is accomplishing your goals and achieving what you had set out for yourself. Being successful is being able to deal with hardships and getting through them. Success is completing your aims you have for yourself. Claude Monet had dealt with many struggles in life, but managed to get where was in the art world. His life was greatly impacted because of the Franco-Prussian War. When he was in his youth his friend Brazille had died in the Franco-Prussian War which changed the way he lived his life. During this time, impressionist painting was becoming quite popular. Later, Claude became one of the artists who had created impressionist painting. Claude Monet could be considered successful because of the hardships and difficulties he had put up
Claude Monet truly exemplifies success because during his life he dealt with many hardships to become the great artist he is viewed as today. He was diagnosed with nuclear cataracts that made him vision impaired, but that didn’t stop him from painting. Vision is very important in art; Claude Monet being nearly blind and still painting shows success. He worked through his difficulties to keep doing what he loved. Monet also had to deal with financial crisis during his career as an artist. He had to burn and destroy some of his artwork before he died so his ideas would not be stolen by other artists. He also claimed that his work was not good enough, but kept working to make his art better. Claude had to push through these tough times before he achieved his goals. This goes to show that working for what you believe in will pay off as long as you stick with it. Even though Claude went through a few hardships in his life he did not quit and just give up on his artwork, he kept working to achieve his goals as an art.
