Cleverness of the trickster this element is all about cleverness and tricking people.
First example would be in the story ¨How Stories Came To Earth¨ when the main character Anansi tricks the bees into trapping them. In the story it says ¨The rain has come do you see me here with a leaf to cover my head.” He tricked them into thinking we would cover them from the rain, but when they went in he trapped them. Another example would be from the story ¨Coyote Steals Fire¨ when the main character coyote cheats in the game of sticks. ¨Coyote turned his dice up so that they showed the carved sides.” This helped him win the game and he was very clever with cheating. Finally in the story ¨Master Cat¨ the main character puss in
boots and played dead to catch mice and rabbits. For example in the story it said ¨Lay down next to it, and played dead. Then he waited for a little rabbit.¨ This shows that he was very clever and tricked the rabbits. All of these characters had their own clever way to trick people.
