What Jobs are Available with a Doctor of Nursing?
Many of the jobs available with a doctor of nursing fall outside the traditional hospital work environment. Here are four jobs for graduates with a doctor of nursing degree. Clinical Home Manager

Clinical home managers are responsible for clinical operations of designated home health care units. They conduct training, manage unit growth and oversee quality initiatives. They are expected to evaluate and report on home health care programs. They assist in the preparation of written procedures for billing, patient care and administrative processes. They ensure adherence to home and hospital policies through conducting regular internal audits. Clinical home managers coordinate the clinical management activities for assigned personnel. They supervise staff and provide technical advice and professional support to office and floor staff. They must administer the unit's annual budget, approve expenditures and assist in the development of team budgets. Clinical home managers are accountable for quality results and client satisfaction levels.

When it comes to operational performance, they monitor supply and personnel budgets with managers and administrators. Health unit coordinators receive new patients and give information and direction to visitors. They have good communication skills to perform the follow tasks: answering the telephone, providing information to the health professional staff, answering patient signals, and taking and delivering messages. Unit coordinators also need a working knowledge of medical terminology for transcribing doctors' orders, copying and compiling information from patients' charts, and scheduling tests and appointments for patients.
