2012 PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE CLOSING STATEMENT - MITT ROMNEY

Thank you very much. It has been a great debate. I would like to thank everyone: President Obama, our host and American people watching the debate and who are deeply concerned about the future of our country. We are in a great economical crises, people looking for jobs but can not find any, our debts piled up, budget deficit widening every day. There is still a lot of work to be done. 4 years ago, people of this great country elected Mr. Obama to provide a better future for all and Obama administration had its chance to change it and make things right for the last 4 years in the office. However, many of the issues remain unsolved yet even got worse.

America is the greatest country on the face of the earth. We have been the country that all others have been looking up to. For the last couple of years, this image has been in decline and we want to bring those glorious days back! We have a great democracy, human rights and freedom. A freedom that would allow entrepreneurs to start businesses that would create many job opportunities for the people, instead of discouraging them with higher taxes and expenses caused by the practices of Obama administration . We should encourage investment that is the backbone of economic improvement and full-employment that will provide an overall prosperity for all the people. Apparently increasing the government expenditures sponsored by the higher taxes paid by my fellow Americans is not helping. We should first create jobs which will increase government revenue and then gradually should provide for the less fortunate, without jeopardizing the welfare of the middle class that USA strictly depends on.

I think we don't have much time left and I would like to make couple of misperceptions clear that Mr Obama has been trying to create about me. I care about the 100% of American people. Because we all are one, despite the differences we have- which creates this great

The United States, a place associated with hope, equal opportunity and freedom also faces many underlying issues. The idea of this “perfect” country has been corrupted with problems such as immigration, growing class division and most prominently the 2007 recession. These burdens have prevented people from living the “American Dream”, a concept that our country has over glorified. The root of these ongoing problems has not been properly addressed, preventing our nation from making any progress. Looking closely at the continuous problems that the Unites States has and still faces, it is viable to say that these issues revolve around capitalism.…

The first thing to say is that the man is clearly labouring under a heavy misconception. Romney is faced with a country that is trending demographically towards his opponents, an economy that it is recovering solidly under Democrat stewardship, and an electorate that has already rejected him twice (he also ran in 2008, when he failed to even secure the Republican nomination) – only a spectacular degree of misunderstanding can possibly have convinced him that this is his moment. But maybe the more interesting question is that of why this misconception persists – why is it that Mitt Romney feels entitled, or even destined, to one day be President?…

On February 12th, 2013 President Barack Obama gave his state of the union address to the nation, the first of this year and since his re-election. I had mixed feelings about this speech as I go into that in more detail later. I like the general direction of where Obama was trying to go with it but I must say that I did have a few points that I disagreed with that he presented. But some of the major things which I did like was the minimum wage increase and talks about gun control. I am going to just run down some of the main points which I either liked or disliked that Obama states.…

The Democratic Debate was really good. I honestly enjoyed watching it time just flew by. After it ended I just wanted to keep watching more. It was so refreshing hearing people talk about the real issues in this country, like the economy, healthcare, education, and corruption. Unlike the Republican Debate which mostly focused on Planned Parenthood, Donald Trump, and Iran.…

America is not the greatest country in the world anymore due to the values and dreams that are fading away. The American Dream, the belief that a U.S citizen should have equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity, is in jeopardy. The dream has helped to shape and unite the country. The forefathers of America wanted to see their country successful and filled with prosperity, but America is slowing letting the hope and dreams that our forefathers once dreamed about fade away. Many argue that the dream is still evident in this world which is slightly true with the education system growing slowly growing. The only problem pertains to the economy unstable due to rise in taxes and unemployment and few Americans…

In fall of 2011, President Obama made a set of bills to encourage growth and recovery. It was called American Jobs Act. Even though the bill never got passed, I thought the act would have worked. I’m not saying it was the best, because nothing is perfect. The purpose of the American Jobs Act is simple: put more people back to work and put more money in the pockets of working Americans – without adding a dime to the deficit. He also said that the bill would not add to the national deficit and would be fully paid for.…

Within the first few moments of the debate, the contrasting tones and styles of both Romney and Obama became clear. Ready and willing to point out the faults in President Obama’s economic plans, the Republican candidate was engaging, full of energy and ready to launch into his detailed and extensive five-point plan aimed towards the revival of the economy. Throughout the course of the 90-minute session, Romney with the aid of his bullet points and passion delivered a well-prepared account of his stances of domestic policy including energy, healthcare, education and tax reform. In contrast, for the majority of the session, President Barack Obama seemed to be surprisingly ill-prepared and even without a clear answer or plan to combat with Romney’s concrete points. Rather than delving into his new and revolutionary ideas on how to kick-start the economy and improve the conditions of America’s workers and families, many times the President’s main rebuttal was his disagreement with the policies put forth by his opponent, yet offering little in…

America is feeding on a single theory, “every person should be offered a career they can solely survive on and have infatuation for. Working hard should have the end result of success. Hard work should be awarded with a decent pay. Because many have a weak start, hey should not be deprived of a slice of success. People born into the weakest of economic situations should all be offered the same opportunities, because they are Americans. Being an American ensures them equality and freedom.…

The United States have been recognize as one of the strongest countries of the world for its persistence growing as a nation after the depression era the United States went through and how the nation could deal with it. Besides, The United States is known as practically the birthplace of opportunities, one of the main reasons why people in countries that are close to the United States decide to immigrate there is by the constant search for opportunities (jobs, education, a better way of living) that are promised; at the same time generates different problems ranging from unemployment to low salaries because of the available workforce.
