How does resting or exercising affect the rate of clothespin squeezes we are able to do in a minute?
Background Information:
It was stated by heart.org, “Your resting heart rate is the heart pumping the lowest amount of blood you need because you’re not exercising… A lower heart rate is also common for people who get a lot of physical activity or are very athletic. Active people often have lower heart rates because their heart muscle is in better condition and doesn’t need to work as hard to maintain a steady beat.” This means some individuals may last longer or be faster in certain physical situations due to their heart being used to the state or exercise. Gather materials
2. Make sure you have rested or have not done any great physical activities
3. Set timer for 1 minute and then start squeezing the clothespin as much as you can, counting them along the way
4. Record how many squeezes you and your group mates have done
5. Now get up and go to an open space.
6. Set timer for 10 minutes and have clothespin in hand. Start jogging in place and make sure your knees are raised up high while you do this
7. Right after you’re done the timer should be set to 1 minute and right away start squeezing the clothespin and counting
