HOT CAN!
Developed for people on the go, Hot-Can is an innovative and convenient range of self heating tasty beverages that deliver hot drinks right when you need it. Hot-Can is non-toxic and non-flammable, and 100% recyclable.
1.How does Hot-Can work?

Hot-Can has developed a special double-chambered aluminium can which contains the beverage in the outer chamber and holds water and calcium oxide (quick lime) separately in the inner chamber.
When the seal at the bottom of the can is depressed and broken, the water mixes with the quicklime, starting an exothermic reaction that heats the contents of the outer chamber by 50-55°C in just 3 minutes, to give you a hot drink just when you need it.
2.How do you know when it is hot?

The patented Heat Indicator labels will clearly indicate when the correct drinking temperature has been reached, by changing from black colour to GREEN colour in about 3 minutes.
Should the beverage become hotter than the optimum drinking temperature, the heat indicator label will change from black to RED.
3.How hot does the drink get?

[pic]
Hot-Can will heat up by 50°C from the beverage starting temperature.
If you activate your can on a cold day of 10°C your drink will reach 60°C which is an optimum drinking temperature.
If you activate the container at room temperature of 20°C (ideal storage temperature) your drink will reach 70°C.
It is not recommended to activate the can if it has been stored above 25°C. Should this occur, take caution, as the Hot-Can may steam from the bottom of the container and the contents be too hot to drink.
4.Can the drink get too hot?

If you store your Hot-Can in a hot car that may be 40°C for example, once activated, the increase in temperature by another 50°C will make the drink too hot to consume safely, but never reach boiling point.
If the beverage gets too hot the RED warning indicator label will appear.
5.How long does it stay warm?

In one version, the inner chamber holds the food or drink, and the outer chamber houses chemicals that undergo an exothermic reaction when combined. When the user wants to heat the contents of the can, a ring on the can is pulled to break the barrier separating the chemicals in the outer chamber. In another type, the chemicals are in the inner chamber and the beverage surrounds it in the outer chamber. To heat the contents of the can, the user pushes on the bottom of the can to break the barrier separating the water from the chemicals. This design has the advantages of being more efficient (less heat is lost to the surrounding air) as well as reducing excessive heating of the product's exterior, causing possible discomfort to the user. In either case, after the heat from the reaction has been absorbed by the food, the user can enjoy a hot meal or drink.…

At 95 degrees, you have entered the zone of mild hypothermia. Hypothermia is an involuntary condition in which your muscles contract rapidly to generate additional body heat. Your muscles have cooled and tightened so dramatically that they no longer contract easily, and once contracted, they won’t relax. You are locked into an ungainly, spread-armed, weak-kneed snow plow (15). With every one degree drop in body temperature below 95 degrees, your cerebral metabolic rate falls off by 3 to 5 percent. When your core temperature reaches 93 degrees, amnesia nibbles at your consciousness (16).…
