Co-Op Personal Statement

Walking into high school four years ago, I fully intended on being a part of of the Co-Op program at Midland High School. I took the required classes prior to applying into the program, which were Computer Technology I and II as well as the other graduation requirements. Come the end of my Junior year, I had entered into the program. In the beginning, there weren’t any job openings in the veterinary field. Fortunately, one opened up at Animal Medical Center in mid July. I had received a phone call from Dr. White, the head veterinarian and owner, requesting an interview. A few days later, I attended the interview and subsequently was offered the morning Co-Op position at Dr. White’s office. This position required training, so the Co-Op student
from the previous year began training me immediately. As I began my training, I experienced many things that reaffirmed my desire to enter into the veterinary field. In this report, I will explain what working at Animal Medical Center has provided me with and how I foresee it benefiting me when my college education starts in the Fall.
