Coach Macintyre Case Study
Colorado Buffaloes
Pacific-12 Conference (Pac-12) South (2014 record: 2-10)
Head Coach: Mike MacIntyre

Offense:
There is no way to sugar coat just how bad the Buffaloes were last season. At 2-10, they were easily the worse team in the Pac 12. With that said, there is room for a little optimism because of an offensive unit that was able to score 28.5 PPG and compile almost 440 YPG in offense.

Coach MacIntyre should be set in the passing game with the return of both his starting QB and leading receiver. Since the passing attack was able to hold its own most of the season, it bodes well for a this year's team that can ill-afford issues on the offensive side of the ball. JR QB Sefo Liufau did a decent job leading the team by throwing for 3,200 yards and 28 TDs. After also throwing 15 interceptions, he should

Fortunately, the cupboard in not bare as Coach MacIntyre sees the return of two reliable players that can be used to build the rest of the defense around. JR LB Addison Gillam returns after finishing second on team in both tackles (79) and sacks (3.5). He will be joined by fellow junior DB Chidobe Awuzie who accounted for 64 tackles. It's not difficult to find guys to make tackles. What the Buffaloes really struggled with last year was putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks. With only 22 sacks as a defensive unit, the team's defensive backs were always vulnerable to quarterbacks who had plenty of time to locate open receivers and deliver the ball at will. Coach MacIntyre needs to find someone who can disrupt the other team's passing game if he wants to see this squad rebound from a difficult season.

Colorado fans will most likely enter he season with low expectations, which should give this defense less pressure to deal with as they try to find themselves. As long as the defense shows improvement, there is hope the Buffaloes can avoid a disaster similar to last

“I don’t know if I’ve ever been a part of something like that,” Mountaineers' head coach Randy Mazey said. “They were throwing pitchers that haven’t pitched much for them and our at-bats were just awful today. If you were to talk to Kansas’ coaches, and say ‘what do you have on the Mountaineers?’ They’d say ‘that’s a good hitting team, those guys can really hit.’ You talk to Canisius’ coaches about the Mountaineers, and they’d say the exact opposite. Now we just have to go figure it out.”…

Although SpongeBob is an iconic popular show, not every viewer would link “Squeaky Boots” to Poe’s short story, and understand that this well-crafted episode demonstrates optional intertextuality. Over and over, the author pulls a number of references to acknowledge the show’s association with Poe’s writing. However, the context in “Tell- Tale Heart” is not necessary to enjoy the episode’s plot. For those who catch the reference, the meaning of the whole episode only slightly changes. One main concept that draws a connection is the psychological effects of guilt. The leading character of both text faces this conflict when he eagerly seeks to free himself of an item. The Bucs were one of the most disappointing teams last season after a solid offseason and plenty of hype (some of it by yours truly). Dirk Koetter got to keep his job even though his team took a gigantic step back in 2017 on both offense and defense. Tampa Bay desperately needed pass rush help and got it in Vita Vea and Jason Pierre-Paul. But the offense had no reason to struggle like it did in Jameis Winston’s third season.…

What is athletic training? Athletic training is the concern of the well being of the athlete and generally assumes the responsibility for overseeing the total health care for the athlete. This basically states that an athletic trainer's job is to be there for the athlete whether he/she is injured or not, and to practice the prevention of injury. By learning the proper techniques and steps to stretching, an athletic trainer can pass that information onto the athlete to help prevent common problems such as cramping. Another way of looking at an athletic trainer is that they must be prepared and capable of dealing with any type of trauma or catastrophic injury that may occur. If that wasn't enough, the NATA website offers this definition, "Certified athletic trainers (ATC's) are unique health care providers who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses that occur to athletes and the physically active."…

One wrong step and you were faceplanting into the drenched grass. Decora was showing us that they were here to win and not letting up at all, but we dug our heels into the ground and played some football. As the game progressed, so did the rain. “I’m slipping all over the place,” I told the coach when they broke free for a 50-yard touchdown pass. I was livid because I leaped after him and got nothing but air. “I got to step it up,” telling myself, as we were falling behind with five minutes left of the half. We pushed and fought to put together a drive that tied up the game, but, more importantly, slowed the down the momentum of a team who thought they were everything to the moon and…
