Mike Kryzewski Mike Kryzewski is arguable the best coach that the NCAA men’s basketball program has ever seen. This was established way before his team’s victory to clinch the NCAA national championship in 2010, making it Coach K’s fourth all time championship. This is a feat among its self. He joins a league of only two other coaches to accomplish this task, John Wooden with 10 and Adolph Rupp with also 4. Coach K’s legacy had made so many impressions on players, parents, and fans and they all know that he isn’t just a basketball coach. He is a mentor and teaches kids things that they can carry on for the rest of their lives. Coach K wants the best out of the kids that he coaches. He gets the most out of them, both physically and mentally. Also not only does he expect them to perform well on the basketball court, but also in the class room, as he has a 98% graduating rate of his players. Coach K’s records and awards speak for their selves. Not only has he won 4 national championships, but has also won the most games in men’s college basketball history. In the picture, after winning the 2010 national championship, he was 35 games away from passing his lifelong mentor Bob Knight, who actually coached Coach K in college at West point. That is where Coach Knight started is great coaching career. So seasons following the 2010 national championship, Coach K led his kids to gain the position of the most wins ever in men’s NCAA college basketball. This is an achievement that will be very hard to be beaten, if it ever will. Coming with the number of wins and championships Coach K has, is 12 coach of the year awards. Coach K has won 77 tournament games, and has made an appearance to the final four 11 times. With that 11 final four appearances that puts Coach K tied for second with Dead Smith, another one of the great coaches in college basketball. Coach K’s team, Duke, is in the ACC
