1.1 General
1.1.1 Project Capacity This project is planning to install 2×300MW units, The configuration of unit is Pulverized coal fired boiler with condensing steam type turbine, and Limestone-gypsum wet Flue Gas Desulphurization system adopted.
1.1.2 Site Conditions(supposed for the technical proposal for the present.) 1. Location The power station is located at Boalkhali Chittagong Bangladesh 2. Fuel & Transportation The source of coal for the power station and oil for starting and operating will be supplied from Indonesia by ship and transferred from the unloading seaport to the site 3. Water Source The source of make-up water for the whole plant will be from a river near the power plant . 4. Geological Conditions The earthquake and the foundation treatment are considered as per in this technical proposal , however, the subsoil treatment measures we adopted at present is based on previous engineering practice which need to be further optimized or modified after the geological data is available .
1.1.3 Main Equipment 1) The boilers are of subcritical pressure, once reheat, natural circulation, single drum, single furnace, double gas pass, tangential firing, balanced draft, steel suspension structure type.
2) The turbines are of subcritical, reheat, double cylinder, double exhaust, condensing steam type.
3) The generators are of H2O-H2-H2 cooling, static type excitation type.
The Main Equipment will be manufactured by China.
1.1.4 Electric Power Systems The power plant shall be consists of two set 300MW TG units. The one generator shall be connected to 230kV GIS type switchyard through one own generator transformer. One line diagram of 230kV switchyard shall be double bus connected. Two (2) 230kV outgoing lines can be inleted the 230kV GIS type switchyard.
1.1.5 Traffic & Transportation The main/auxiliary equipment, materials will be transported by sea.
