Coal Mining: Is It Worth The Risk?

Do you think coal mining is worth the risk? Coal mining is worth the work because of what we get out of it. We get electricity out of it, we get jobs out of it (mining jobs) but everything good always has a bad side, we get health hazards like black lung disease.

I think that coal mining is useful because of all the things above other than the bad one of course, otherwise everything is nice about it. You get jobs, it costs a small amount for a large amount of it, and you get electricity out of it, most things anymore are operated by electricity and the electricity is operated by coal.

The text states that "coal is the most abundant of the fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas), and the US produces more than a billion tons of it every year." the sentence there left out the fact that coal mining is also very hazardous in many ways, you could get trapped from the strip-mine caving in, you could get black lung disease, or you could just die from going too deep and having too much pressure put onto your body.
This means coal mining is very useful and resourceful.
Being the fact that coal can be used for a various amount of things a lot of people use it for technology and coal-fueled generators, etc. coal could either be the death of many or the on-going of our new generations.

In conclusion, I think coal mining is good, because if we didn't have it we would have to find a different source of energy to keep the electricity and what-not up and
running.
