Re: SEC Project –Coca-Cola Company
Purpose:
The purpose of this SEC project is not only to understand the accounting concepts deeply by analyzing a company’s reports. We have made the answers to questions regarding Coca-Cola Company’s annual financial report and proxy statement. Meanwhile, we also analyzed the information composed in the report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, in detail, and we have confidence in being able to employ the accounting knowledge we have learned from this project to our future studies.

Accounting to this project, we referenced and utilized two sources. The first source is the annual 10-K report, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission by the Coca Cola Company. The second source is the annual Proxy Statement also filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission by the Coca Cola Company. And we also search the internet.
Conclusion:
This SEC project offered us an opportunity and thorough understanding of how a company’s annual 10-K report and Proxy Statement are made. We have acquired how to analyze the financial statements and better understand how the company performed during a given time period. We learn to understand what influence the Board of Directors have on a company and of their intentions to expand and grow the business through analyzing Coca Cola Company’s Proxy Statement. This project taught us to search for the important information of a company’s assets, liabilities, and equity, which have to come into balance. The fundamental accounting principles will always help auditors and accountants so as to help make a firm’s financial statements fairly. SEC project is an essential and crucial step for us to enter in the world of accounting.
