ABSTRACT
This assignment analyses Information Technology (IT) and Information System (IS) for the Coca-Cola Company. The Coca-Cola Company is an American multinational beverage corporation and manufacturer, retailer and marketer of non-alcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups. The Coca-Cola formula and brand was bought in 1889 by Asa Candler who incorporated The Coca-Cola Company in 1892. Besides its namesake Coca-Cola beverage, Coca-Cola currently offers more than 500 brands in over 200 countries or territories and serves over 1.7 billion servings each day.
Since The Coca-Cola company is one of the largest companies in the World, information systems and information technologies are the essential keys to maintain company’s information circulation. To be able to gather and manage the information needs a complex and high suitable system. In order to collect beneficial data the Company works with local retail warehouses. Company’s aim is not only collect information which is valuable to business, but also assists retail warehouses to bring for the company. By using this association the company is able to use the information data that is gathered by retail warehouses via scanners, regular consumers’ card program and surveillances made by warehouse workers to find out how to sell company’s products even more.
