In 1923, when Pepsi Cola went bankrupt, Caleb Bradham bought the name “Pepsi Cola” from them. Whenever 1931 rolled around, Loft Candy Company bought Pepsi Cola. Guth offered to sell Pepsi Cola to Coca-Cola when he struggled to make it a successful business. Coca-Cola refused to offer a bid. Pepsi was introduced in 1964. Pepsi has 12% sugar content in every can.
Problem or Purpose
The purpose of the experiment is to find out if sugar content affects a person’s preference on Coke and Pepsi.
Hypothesis
If Pepsi is sweeter than coke, then it would change the persons preference to like pepsi better. The independent variable is Coke and Pepsi, while the dependent variable is people being surveyed.
Materials
The materials in this experiement is cans of Coke and Pepsi. The experiment will need paper cups and survey papers.
Procedure
The first thing to do in the experiment is to lable to cups on the bottom. Label Coke as A and Pepsi as B. Then, poor the Coke into the “A” cups, while pooring Pepsi into the “B” cups.
