This is a biome which is an Ocean shore environment. Animals that live here find their food in the water. Some of the Preys go on to the land to rest or reproduce, but food that they eat is in the water. The Artic is the area around the North Pole while the
Antarctic is the area around the South Pole.
Plant plankton are eaten by the Krills; the Krills are eaten by the fish, fish are eaten by the seals and the seals are eaten by the Killer Whales.

Decompose
The Decompose are mostly the Ice, snow and Rocks and also Bacteria on the bottom of the ocean floor and that is where the producers brings nutrients from the bottom of the water and these creature thrives for them.

Producers are in microsopic in size. Tiny diatoms, crustaceans and protozoams live here.
The bring nutrients from the bottom of the water for the creature to survie.

Primary Consumers are Krills, shrimp, small fishes and the squid which eats tiny lifeforms such as plankton and plants.
The Krills are the most important because they swarmp in large numbers. They are a very important part of the food chain in the water. During the Hurricane seasons there numbers reduced by the changes in the water and many large animals straved.

Secondary Consumers feeds on the Krill which are the Humback Whales, Seals and many kinds of fishes feeds on smaller fishes too. Many seabirds untilze these resources and in the Antarctic, the penguins also feeds on them.

Top Predators are the Killer Whales. The adapted to their niche in a cold environment. They eat what they can catch and prey on penguins and seals mostly.
Polar Bears occupy this position in the Arctic North.

In normal conditions, cold water, rich in nutrients, flows in a northerly direction along the west coast of South America. This is accompanied by an upwelling of nutrients, caused by winds blowing form the south. This results in the water having a high productivity, with very large numbers of anchovies and sardines feeding in the plankton-rich water. This high productivity supports a substantial fisheries industry and many species of sea…

All of them live in water mostly lakes, small streams, and ponds. The Daphnia ambigua is one of the smallest species in this group. Its food source mainly consists of protozoa and algae. They provide sustenance for animals such as small fish, aquatic insects, tadpoles, salamanders, and newts. Nutrients from algae move through them to their predators and then to animals that consumer some of these predators including humans (Melissa, 2016). Therefore, they form an important part of the food chain in ecosystems where they…

Ecological role of giant kelp: Depending on the fauna species, the ecological role of giant kelp varies from providing food for grazing invertebrates, or hosting fish seeking shelter. Also, Sea otters like to stay around and in the kelp forest looking for sea urchins, their favorite food. The giant kelp forests provide food and habitat for hundreds of species including fish and invertebrate animals that belong to several groups including crustaceans, starfish, mollusks, anemones, sponges and tunicates, and other species in water column. Upon the sinking of the decomposing kelp (detritus) to the depths of the ocean, it provides food for deep sea animals. The shading created by well-established forests of giant kelp would negatively affect understory algae that competes for space with stationary invertebrates, leading to indirectly benefit the mentioned invertebrates.…

The food chain starts with the underwater grasses on the bottom and algae. Underwater grasses, also known as submerged aquatic vegetation or SAV, are plants that grow in the shallow waters of the Chesapeake Bay and its streams, creeks and rivers (Bay Grasses). These underwater grasses are important because they feed the smaller organisms that in turn feed the rest of the food chain. Going up, the Zooplankton are free floating organisms that generally can not swim so they flow with the tides and currents (Plankton). Plankton are not the only source on the low end of the food chain, the oysters are next. The Eastern Oyster is one of the most iconic species in the Chesapeake Bay. For more than a century, oysters have made up one of the region’s most valuable commercial fisheries, and the filter-feeder continues to clean our waters and offer food and habitat to other animals. But overharvesting, disease and habitat loss have led to a severe drop in oyster populations (Oysters). These Eastern Oysters have a positive impact on the environment in the Chesapeake Bay. Oysters are filter feeders, consuming phytoplankton and improving water quality while they filter their food from the water (Oyster Reefs). The top of the food chain consists of small and big fish. Approximately 350 species of fish live in the Chesapeake Bay. Some fish are year-round…
