College Admissions Essay: My Junior Year In High School

As a Mexican-American, having parents from little to no education is common. Many opportunities weren't as convenient as they are today; or they just couldn't attend school, due to the fact that they had labor to effectuate. As to why, I want to take advantage of every single opportunity that is given. One major opportunity is attending a university. Therefore, I have to be a goal-setter and plan ahead, such as goals to accomplish, to meet these utmost opportunities. I just want to make my parents proud of accomplishing/ receiving opportunities they, sadly never had a chance to achieve. I’ll start off with minor goals for this year, as to how there are several acts that I must accomplish before wanting to achieve. Currently, it’s my junior year in high school; one of two significant years in high school. Also, the year of primarily testing and tough Honor/ AP courses. Some basic goals I have ever year are to improve on inspiration, creativity, confidence and especially on communication. Additionally, attending school on time, studying for quizzes/ tests, having leadership positions, participation in several clubs, and overall managing astonishing grades.
