I’m only in 8th grade and I can’t play that many sports right now because I usually have a lot of work and homework to do. Also I have Arabic school on the weekends. That means I have 7 days of school. But luckily Arabic school is only 4 hours.

I always play soccer at Arabic school and I’m always bad at it compared to the people I’m playing with. In basketball, I play with my friends in my backyard and sometimes in Ali and Abbas’s backyard. In football we play always have a big game of 9 on 9 or 10 on 10 at the park. When we are playing in my backyard, we usually play like 6 on 6 or 5 on 5. When we play baseball, we have to play at the park because once we were playing in my backyard and Ali was up to bat. Jamal pitches the ball and it flies over the fence and goes to the train tracks. That happened at least 10 times. My dad got mad because he kept wasting money on baseballs so we can play. He buys them because he wants us to get better in the sport. What kind of sports do you guys like? I know that some people don’t play sports. SO you don’t have to answer the

When most people think of character they often associate it with the idea of having to do the right thing. I on the other hand believe character is more than just doing what is morally righteous. Our experiences, obstacles and most importantly, passion define our true character. Passion establishes the difference between obligation or choice and giving up or persevering. Our actions result from the passion we choose to dedicate towards different aspects of our lives including school, work, extracurricular activities and community service. Everyone values these aspects differently and that is what allows for each of us to have our own unique character. I believe people have a more powerful influence when they have a true sense of passion for what they are doing.…

90 minutes to make or break your season. The grass under your cleats when arriving at the pitch. Wind blowing through jerseys while sprinting to get the ball. The silky feel of your school colors on your sweaty skin. The thrill achieved by that one perfect kick straight into the feet of the waiting teammate right next to the goalie's box. The skill and precision that goes into one sport that the world goes crazy for. Imagine dribbling across the length of the pitch and passing the ball, waiting for that pass back to complete the two-touch the team has been practicing endlessly. The ball is coming straight at you at break-neck speed. It’s too high to stop with your feet, what do you do? You breathe, take a look at your coach who is chewing ferociously…

I was born in Charleston, SC and spent my childhood years in Washington, DC raised by my aunt and uncle. During most of those years the Washington Redskins were one of the best franchises in the NFL. This was in the midst of the Joe Gibbs era and the team winning three Super Bowls. We attended every championship parade so by family tradition I became a Redskins fan. I remember the city-wide celebration and how the entire city shutdown for the extravaganza. There was no way as a young impressionable child, I couldn't gravitate towards Redskin nation! After that run of success the team was sold to Daniel Snyder, ushering in a new era and a new regime. I moved back to Charleston during my teenage years but still was a die…
