College Essay About Fishing
Unlike most tasks in life, no one method or math equation will provide beneficial to you when fishing. As the great Spanish philosopher Maimonides once said "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. Whether you need fishing to catch your family food or you want to just impress your friends knowing how to fish provides you with a vital skill. Fishing has always played a big role in my life. At age eight I caught my first sailfish in Costa Rica, at age eleven I caught my first roosterfish in a kayak and at age fourteen I bought my first boat. I see myself as an exceptionally experienced fisherman. I travel the world in pursuit of catching various species and trying to catch the fish of a lifetime. Follow my advice and I guarantee you your chances of catching a fish will increase and you too can become a world-class renowned fisherman.
Before starting your fishing expedition you must research. You can use your computer at home, but if you do not own one go down to your local library

After researching you need to take action. After picking a location, you need to know your plan to go to fish. Ignorance fills many people with the belief that only one type of fishing exists. Types of fishing include salt-water fishing, fresh-water fishing, ice fishing, and my personal favorite fly-fishing. Fishing can be performed on a boat or on land. If you desire fishing on a boat, you need to acquire a boat. You could buy a boat, go out with a friend, or my recommendation take a charter boat. Using a charter boat proves an exceptionally smart decision because the charter captain will provide you with a boat, all the equipment you need to catch the species you desire, and even including a tasty lunch. The charter captain specializes in fishing and will not hesitate to put you in his hot spots and more importantly he will teach you the techniques

We have found that in many places you can pull Snappers up one right after another just before the sun goes down. If you have your fire going they make an easy, delicious dinner on the grill, just bring a little aluminum foil and your all set! Another one of the great attractions to kayaking on the Indian River Lagoon is the abundance of wildlife in the area. It is not out of the ordinary to see a pod of dolphins swimming by. Each time they surface they blow air through their blow hole, which can be pretty startling if you weren't aware they were so close. It is quite the sight when they surface near you as you are paddling along, especially because you are at water level with them and they are such impressively large animals. In the winter time, which has perfect weather for kayaking in Florida, there a lot of manatee in the area too. Huge and awesome they look a little intimidating but they are very docile and curious, coming right up to your kayak to get a good look at you. There are also many sting rays in the area along with gigantic sea turtles, we have spotted some at least five foot across, with a head that is bigger than a…

You have to make sure that the lure you’ll be using is not too light to pass over the fish head or too heavy to get trapped on some plants and boulder beneath the water. If you can’t decide on the type of lure that you will be using in catching the best trout, the best solution is to bring the different types of lure and see which will work for you. In order to see an increase in the fish population in the ocean we should definitely take the next few steps in order to see that change. We need to create more areas where fishing is illegal and prohibited. This alone will make all the difference. If they are limited to being able to fish at all then there will be a decline in the fishing activity overall. This has to be the most important change that needs to be made in order to increase fish stock. To determine which areas should be designated as “No Catch Zones” there should be many oceanographers (often referred to as marine scientist). This is so that they can work together to determine where the fish breed, the area of the breeding ground and the temperature of the water in which they do breed. Doing all of this ensures that the correct spots will be declared “No Catch Zones” This will protect the species during breeding giving them the proper time to actually breed and are able to reproduce to increase their population. Next, we…
