The revealing of character is when coaches who are full of God can instruct and transform culture. There are many opportunities that happen in the world of sport to teach players how to be men or women of character. I know personally the moments that I got coached up on character on the field were the ones I remembered most. There are so many opportunities to teach players to be different than the culture we live in. Coaches need to be careful in the culture we live in. If the coach is not in a Christian atmosphere the coach will most likely get in trouble for bringing up God in sports. There are ways to teach transformation, one way is to quote scripture but not quote the scripture. Use the principle that the bible teaches without bringing up the bible. This will teach players Godly values without getting in trouble for talking about religion with players.
