When I received this assignment it took a little thought to decide who I wanted to profile in my paper. Since how I work for HEB, I have many people in the HR field that I could have interviewed. After considering all my options I decided to go all the way to the top of HEB’s HR in Central Texas. The reason I wanted to interview the Central Texas Director of Human Resource for H-E-B is so others will know how much pride HEB takes in their Human Resource department and the type of person it takes to be the Director of Human Resources at HEB. In order for one to be considered for this position one would have to have exquisite people skills and a heart and spirit for helping. This is why I chose Mr. Vic Nivens, the Director of Human Resources…

I interviewed my sociology instructor Chelsea Bullard; she is a red head and has a very bubbly personality. In class she smiles and laughs frequently. Interviewing her was interesting because she is a grad student and has been in school for seven years and has two- three more years to go. Her experiences can be helpful for people that are undecided about their major. Declaring a major can be very scary. It’s normal for college students to find a new passion while in college straying from their intended major.…

I interviewed an adult woman who lives in my neighborhood. Her name is Marina and she is 66 years old always trying to be active but in fact, she has a lot of health issues. She lost her husband 12 years ago and from then on, she lives by herself. So, I decided to invite her for a breakfast on Sunday morning and spent a little bit time together and talk. She responded to my invite with a very enthusiasm and interest. I am assuming it is because in her life there is not happening a lot of interesting events. I know her almost 4 years and I thought I could have guessed somewhat correctly about her interests in music, films, and TV shows.…

When I first heard that I had to interview someone and write a paper about how successful they are, I’ll admit, I thought we’d be interviewing a bunch of wealthy old white guys that never knew the meaning of failure. To my surprise, Josh Mitchell was neither rich nor elderly. After being thrown off I quickly jumped back in and told myself that there must have been a major factor that helped him find an easy path to success. After just a few minutes of speaking with Josh, I realized that his success was not built on money or social status, but alternatively the problems he went through in life. I used to think success was only achieved by being smart and born into a well off family, but after talking to Josh Mitchell, I now…

There are one hundred and ninety six different countries in the world. There are thousands of ethnic groups among these countries. Within all of the diverse places we are all similar because we are all human. We have the same wants and same needs; the only thing that makes us different is the location we originated. Here in the United States, Americans, whether realizing it or not, consider themselves higher in status. Even though they are diverse within themselves, the whole is considered the superior people by not only themselves but by surrounding countries as well. They have first-rate justice systems, improved living situations, high-class transportation, finer luxuries, and enhanced overall lifestyles. My college English class was informed that we must interview an international student to discuss their opinions about the U.S., and it was an exciting topic to conceive.…

Most state colleges, as well as, private colleges are asking that prospective students submit an essay based on certain criteria before they can even begin the admissions process. When an essay is written by the prospective student at least two college employees may read the paper and decide based on what the person wrote if they should be admitted to the college. These essays can range from extracurricular activities to why they want to go to the college. This practice is interesting for the simple fact of personal taste. That is, the prospective student's extracurricular activities, writing styles, or communication skills are being personally judged. Therefore, if any or all of the student's styles are not to the liking of the judge or up to the reader's standards, they might not be admitted or be allowed to proceed in the application process. Some students have the problem of submitting applications to numerous colleges and may not…
