College Life
"My College Experiences"

College was always my main goal throughout my whole entire education life school was not for me but I managed to make it to college. I graduated from a Catholic High School with all boys who have already mentally allowed me to focus on other issues and concentrations of focuses. I still sometimes wonder what I am going to do with my major and completion of college. I need to know my future and when I leave for school I am going to have to use my morals and higher education to help me understand and cope with other everyday experiences. There are three main categories of things that I want to gain in my life experience. I want to gain moral things, also strengthen my personality, and gain a higher knowledge. After I graduation from high school, I had plan to do several things. The most important thing I plan to do is go to college, because there are so many other detractions other than a degree, from a college education I plan to pursue higher learning, to begin a career, and to make history in my family. Making history in my family is the most important thing I hope to gain from a college education.
My mother was the one parent that parents graduated from college, I have two brothers and a sister who did attend college which motivated me to want to go to college; my other relatives a least graduated from high school. Taking a look back has motivated me to reach farther. Being able too graduate of a catholic department system and also a highly respected person in my senior class. I plan to make history in my family by being the first also to get a Degree in History.

Pursuing higher learning, beginning a career, and making history in my family are things I hope to gain from a college education other than a degree. It is very important that I accomplish these goals so that I will have continued success. If I believe it, then I can achieve it. I am not after the meaning of life but by the grace of God I know all of these

Going to college has always been a goal to myself. Personally, it means more than expecting to get a good job with a high earning potential. It means the opportunity to develop myself as a person and become a valued member of society. It means, that as the oldest brother and first generation in my family with the possibility to attend college, setting an example for my younger siblings about how to shape your own path and break that mindset of “do what you have to do” and replacing it with one which says, “do something that makes you happy.”…

What I do know is that I don't want to wake up ten, fifteen years from now with the bitter realization that I've wasted my life in a job I hate, because I was forced to decide on a career while I was still a teenager. I can only hope and pray that Jesus leads me in the right direction. But just because I may not know what I want to do in the future,it doesn't mean I don't know what kind of person I want to be. I want to be someone who helps people, someone who people can look up to, and can depend on. I feel like there aren't enough genuinely good people in this world, that they are few and far in between. The one genuinely good person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting was my mother, and sadly I won't be able to meet her for a long while. She was a wonderful woman and mother, and is my inspiration. I want to become one of those genuinely good people, like my mother, and I fell like the perfect place to discover how to become that person is at a university. The only thing I'm certain of is that I am a seventeen year old girl looking to get a good education, to learn everything there is to know about the world, and to live my life happy and without any…

To say that I dedicated numerous amounts of hours deciphering the purpose of why I’m going to college would be a lie. For years I have always thought that college is somewhere you just go after high school. I believed that it is only somewhere you go to start your career and in turn make a lot of money. In fact, this “purpose” is what has been institutionalized within U.S. citizens under this Capitalist system. We are told to go to college so we can get jobs where we can make money, buy a big house, start a family, and live the lifestyles we have always dreamed of. For a very long time this was my only goal in life: to go to college so I can get a well-paying job to afford the lifestyle that I want to live. I never put much thought into what…
