KiD CuDi

Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi or also known as KiD CuDi was born on January 30th 1984. KiD CuDi is an American alternative hip-hop recording artist, singer-songwriter, guitarist, record producer and actor from Cleveland, Ohio. KiD CuDi gained much attention after his mix tape in 2008 called “A Kid Named Cudi.” In 2009, his single “Day ‘n’ Nite ended up reaching the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts, which was his most famous song so far.
The reason why I picked KiD CuDi is because I can relate to most of his music. I like his smooth and mellow words and rhymes. I prefer his music over the other artists out there because I am not a fan of the upbeat hip-hop. With his type of music I can relax, close my eyes and listen.
KiD CuDi’s music is influenced by many different genres. For instance as a kid growing up he listened to Pink Floyd and also some small alternative hip hop bands such as The Pharcyde and A Tribe called Quest.
I’m a KiD CuDi fan because I like his laid back and mellow music. He is known to write psychedelic music and advertise the use of illegal substances through most of his songs. His music is soothing to me and nice to relax to.

Kid Cudi is an undeniably popular rapper. His venue for September 21 was DTE Energy Music Theatre. While normally a setting for singers like Kid Rock and Ke$ha, the audience was quite different for an unorthodox hip-hip artist. When walking in, the haze of cigarette and marijuana smoke acted like a wall that separated us from the outside world.…

Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, known better as KiD CuDi, is considered a genre-defying artist. KiD CuDi’s music classifies as hip-hop and rock, which seem to be opposites, but he effortlessly combines the two as if they were meant to be. CuDi released his most recent album on April 16, 2013 titled Indicud. “Mad Solar” was one of the more emotional and personal songs CuDi featured in his latest breathtaking albums. The song has an eerie feeling to it, but nevertheless, CuDi exonerates his feelings and inner thoughts into it.…

Not only did he come from a biracial couple, but one of his parents being Catholic and the other being Jewish. But also, I think this is why a lot of people are drawn to them. He’s an extremely marketable person. He can relate to a lot of people. He’s so diverse in this sense and in his music. He is often celebrated for his “sensitive and introspective approach to rap and R&B” (Drake). He has changed the way lots of artists approach their music. Instead of having lots music that is just meant for parties like most artists, he tells stories from his childhood and frequently refers to his hometown, “the 6” or Toronto. In one of his songs, “You & The 6”, he talks to his mom about his personal life and their relationship with their father. He has changed music forever and in my opinion will go down as one of the greatest artists of all-time.…

I know for a fact that everyone loves music you can’t go wrong with a couple tunes playing back and forth here and there. I have a lot favorite song, artist, videos and etc. Chief Keef is one of my favorite rappers because i like the way he rap duh, if that’s my favorite, but yeah he is a very good rapper even though sometimes you can’t hear what he saying but I bet you will still like him. Music is something my family enjoys as well, I like the music my family play, but when my granny gets the choices Umm NO she like that bogus old people music and I don’t like that type of music because it’s not my type of selection of music. Her music makes you want to leave the house, half the time they sound like they crying and depressed and I don’t like it. Some of favorite rappers are Chief Keef, Beyoncé, Lil Durk, Chris Brown, Lucci, Fetty Wap And Skooly. My life without music or any of them rappers I just named it would be totally empty. I listen to music on a daily basis and anytime of the day. Music takes away my stress sometimes and it keeps me amped and alive. When I’m on my way to school, I like listening to music to get prepared for my day and ignoring the kids on the bus. When I was younger, I probably didn’t know what music was but now I do and I love it. I like listening to feeling and songs that help you think about life and the memories. My favorite feeling song is “Cry Me A River” By Skooly, he is a…

What I didn’t understand at the time was that this was the type of music that wasn’t a favorite amongst many for could’ve been a variety of reasons; either some considered his subject matter to be far too hedonistic or it was the usual, “I can’t tell what he’s even saying, what the fuck are you showing me?” quandary, which I was constantly pitted against throughout my freshman year of high school.…
