To go back and colonize Australia again things would turn out differently. The first record of Europeans arriving on Australia’s waters was around 1606 then 54 more European ships arrived between 1606 and 1770, destruction and illnesses seemed to follow. Redoing that colonization would result in less people being killed from disease, starvation and just plain cruelty, animal life and vegetation would be prosperous, along with a vibrant culture.

The Aboriginal people would be left to teach and live as they saw fit, allowing them to feed off the land, share their traditions, language and history with anyone they chose. The port is also shared with the Department of Defense’s Royal Australian Navy and also several national and international cruise ships make Port Eden as a stopover. The city of Melbourne is the capital and the second most populated city in Australia and is also home to Australia’s best and oldest Victorian university, museums, wildlife and access to the small islands in Bass Strait. Melbourne also “prides itself on its more interesting architecture and more cultured ways,” (de Blij, Muller, Nijman, 2013, Page, 450) in all of Australia, Melbourne has become a diversified economy with finance, manufacturing, research, IT, transportation and tourism.
Australia today has become more diversified and civilized then when ships first came to Australia in the 1600’s, when they brought with them disease and destruction that spread throughout the entire continent. But, even though the damage has already been done and we are unable to replace what has been lost, we can go forward and continually make improvements and work to save the history and environment of Australia now.
