Introduction

This book is about showing my understanding the following design disciplines, which consists of Spatial Correlation, Direction of Lines and categories of shape and how to harmonize a color together.

Print Design 1

Inspiration
The inspiration of this design came from the tribal prints. Nowadays tribal prints became famous in fashion trends.

Target Market
15-25 years old females.

End Product
This design print can be seen in summer collection. As in summer dresses or tank top and even crop top. This print design can also be printed on cellphone cases.

Shapes: Geometric
Color harmony: Warm and Cool color
Notions of Composition: Juxtaposition
Notions of Balance: Asymmetry
Notions of Movement: Continuity

Print Design 2

Inspiration
The inspiration of this design came from one of my favorite fruits, which is watermelon.

Target market
3-12 years old girls and boys.

End Product
This design print can be seen on children’s wear because it gives a fresh look for kids.

Inspiration
The inspiration of this design came from our own mother earth.

3-35 years old of females and males

End Product
This design print can be seen on people wearing it on the Earth Day which is at 22nd April. It also can be seen on bags which is made from canvas

    During the course, Color Theory, our class has learned about many aspects of the concept of identity in the creative process. Google defines identity as the fact of being who or what a person or thing is. There is also identity in the creative process. We look at art as being the image definition of an individual or society. There are two ways of thinking about the way you can make a decision. You can either make it consciously or unconsciously. Unconscious means the part of the mind that is inaccessible to the conscious mind but that affects behavior and emotions. Conscious means being aware of and responding to one's surroundings. Everyone in society either make conscious or unconscious decisions during the thinking process. Artists even make these decisions in their paintings. Self portraits are one of the many pieces artists use as a symbol of identity. The can be easily defining the image or the artist themselves.     In Wassily Kandinsky’s Improvisation 21A painting, the artist uses cool colors, such as blue, violet, and green. As well as using a few warm colors to both harmonize and add variety to the piece. There is unity throughout the painting, because I see small shapes of either crowds of people or buildings side by side to make small towns throughout the painting. The small shapes that I see in this painting are Geometric shapes, like triangles and rectangles. The biggest focal point that I see every time I look at the painting is the darker blue on the right side that looks to me like a seahorse. This would be the biomorphic shape that I see in this painting. I can see so many different images throughout this piece of art and the dark, contoured lines just make everything stand out. There is such a variety of different “pieces” to this painting, such as people sitting on a mountain top watching a storm, a city night, and sea creatures. I love how the reds are throughout the entire painting, bringing it all together in harmony. Abstract art tells so many stories to the viewer, and each story is different for each viewer. I see abstract art and how the variety of shapes harmonizes the entire piece to balance it out. This piece brings so many things to life, but the blue seahorse definitely dominates the entire structure of this painting. I see a lot of repetition in the lines of this painting. There is variety in the lines Kandinsky is using, not all lines are straight, there are several lines that are zig zagged, and swirled.…
