Introduction
This experiment will show us how the flowers change colors when ink food is added to the water. Reading about this process we discover how the roots and stems absorb the colored water. This experiment demonstrates how the water is absorbed into the plant and how the petals of the flower change color as a result. The process demonstrates how the plants draw the water up through the stem. The water reaches and hydrates the leaves first, and then the petals. This colored water changes the white flowers in a short period of time. It is amazing how the flowers change color without affecting the health of the plant.
