To say that one has memorized something with mind power is a complete understatement. motion is used in the attachment process of memorization. Throughout “Fahrenheit 451” the characters seem to have a connection to books, emotionally attached to the words and feelings within the pages. Montag finds himself having a fascination with the books, forbidden because of society. Since the beginning of time, society’s thoughts on what is normal and what isn’t has controlled our universe. Well Montag and the other book lovers disagree with society, and are fighting against it.…
The team went through a very challenging formation phase because there was a lot of resistance to integrate the school and football team. White players were concerned about loosing their starting positions and were upset that their Head Coach (Bill Yoast) was demoted to Assistant Coach, which almost caused them to quit the team. The black players were under a lot of pressure as well, being placed in a white school and knowing that they would be subject to a lot of hatred. Both the new Head Coach (Herman Boone) and Coach Yoast initially did not want to take on their new positions.…
During the learning process information is encoded, then stored and retrieved once needed. The sensory organs receive information from the environment and are stored for a very short period within the sensory cells, by giving attention to this information it is sent into the working memory/short term memory. Information in short-term memory can be held there indefinitely as long as it is rehearsed, and the typical cause for its loss is that it is displacement by the presence of other, new information that has been attended to. Once received in the working memory/short term memory the information is encoded in our long-term memory by rehearsal or constant repetition of the information. When we need this stored information for future purposes, it is retrieve by recall or recognition.…

The book that I choose to read this 9 week period is called Memory by Will Weaver. The book is based on the lives of a family of 4 people; Miles, Sarah, and their two parents. Memory Boy starts out in the Mid West after a mountain range in Washington erupts and spews ash what seems billions of feet up, and over the entire United Sates like a blanket. The ash is so thick that people have to wear dust masks outside to avoid the risk of breathing it in. Miles and his family finally decide to leave the town that they live in to head northwest. Since the ash is so heavy they can’t drive a car because those are restricted, and people can only use them on certain days to avoid the problem of pollution. So Miles assembles a new vehicle that he calls the Princess. It is a mix between a bicycle and a boat that they must pilot by either peddling, or when there is enough wind they have a sail from a boat to put up. They decide to leave under the curtain of night to avoid being detected by other people who would want to take their vehicle from them. As they make their way North they must face encounters with many obstacles such as road blocks, bandits, hunger, the government, nature, each other, and other hazards. In between telling us about they’re adventure north, Miles, who is the main character tells us the events leading up to their departure, starting with the day that the eruption happened. The novel starts out a peaceful journey by the family but they soon learn that their trip will not be easy and they must work together to survive.…

In the book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Ugly Truth, by Jeff Kinney, the main charter Gregory had a memory moment of a toy when a conflict occurred. Greg was home and then he remember when he used to play with baby toys when he saw Manny do it. He thought about when he broke his favorite toy, the bear. Greg said ”How could that happen to Manny when that happened to me 5 years ago”. Greg means that by feeling bad for Manny when it happened to him 5 years ago. The evidence shows that greg felt bad when for Manny and greg is upset that it had to happen to Manny. It also shows that Manny broke it the same way Manny did by leaving it out when the dog Sweetie is around. Greg did helped Manny the way that his Mom did by trying to fix it…

I witnessed the situation that I will describe while I was working as a Help Desk Operator. The work was demanding and dynamic and required 24/7 shifts. It was almost the end of the month and I was doing the Help Desk monthly schedule. One of my colleagues came to me and told me that for the next couple of weeks she wouldn’t be at work because she had a surgery appointment. She wanted to tell me so I could prepare for the upcoming shifts accordingly. She explained that it was just a minor surgery and she was expected to recover for couple of weeks. We went to explain the situation to our direct manager, who was the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of the firm at that time, so at the end I had my schedule covered and my colleague went on with her medical arrangements.…
