For example, if you were offered a good job in a foreign country, how would you feel about packing up and moving there for several years? If your roommate were of a different cultural background, would you welcome the experience or would you feel a little uncomfortable? Do your answers depend on what country the job is in or where the roommate comes from? Explore this attitude. Why do you think you feel the way you do? Your initial response should be 250-300 words in length. Your claims should be supported by assigned readings and/or other academic resources

Don't get overwhelmed by homesickness in the first few weeks. Initially many students will feel awkward or homesick because of how different it is from what their life used to be. If you still feel like this school is wrong for you after a year, you can consider other options for the following year.
