I would like to apply for the position as a Commercial Finance Analyst
I recently graduated from Queen Mary University of London gaining a BSc (Hons) in Physics with Finance (2.1). I would like to pursue a career in an analytical position and hope to continue studying to gain a CFA charter.
Whilst studying a bachelor degree in Physics with Finance I gained exposure to two varied fields. My Physics schooling has allowed my analytical skills to be fine tuned, especially through my final year experimental project. In Finance and accounting I covered the basic fundamentals and principles of managing accounts and constructing financial statements such as Profit and loss, Cash Flow and Balance Sheets, which furthered my interest in finance.
Since graduating I joined A & A Distributions, a rapidly expanding trader in premium drinks. As a Senior Accounts Manager in a relatively small company I have been given a greater range of responsibilities with direct training from the Managing Director himself. This has given me an awareness of all aspects of the business from managing accounts, compiling budgets, being the first point of contact for clients and being educated on the general trends in the market. My career prospects look bright with A&A distribution but I want to work for the best and be the best with long term goals of earning a CFA Charter.
Throughout my job search and discussion with investment advisors I have come to respect the professionalism that characterises Mars and its employees. I am confident that Mars’s Five Principles values and objectives would highly complement my own strengths and enthusiasm. I understand that working in financial markets will certainly be a challenging experience but I look forward to opportunities that allow me to both prove myself and learn
