We are labeled as lazy because we do not have a job, but did you know that “Millennials are the largest generation at over 85-90 million people in the US, and are the most educated generation in history” says Paul Angone. Our unemployment is due to the abundance of people with college degrees and a lack of jobs that complement the level of education they have received, not because we are lazy. Also, females in this era have a much harder time finding jobs solely due to our gender. We are labeled as “entitled” to things like success, when in reality, we are obsessed with it. We were taught unintentionally that the only way to achieve something is to never fail, and to please others. When it is our failures, and our own self approval that make us achieve. Another issue that our generation alone is faced with is the fact that we have the highest rates of depression, stress, and anxiety. Which honestly does not seem too farfetched when combined with our outlook on failure and self-worth mixed with unemployment. Our society is focused around satisfying others to gain something we desire. Satisfy your boss to get a promotion, satisfy your professors to get a good grade, and satisfy random strangers on the internet to be called “pretty”. But why? Why is it that we cannot satisfy ourselves to get what we want? This generation is focused on the wrong things. This generation should work on gaining personal satisfaction within ourselves, instead of sexualizing our bodies on social
