Common Theme Of Fools In Literature
In conclusion, all of these literary works, share a central theme. In the case with these works, that theme is dark, and depressing, since it discusses a futility few wish to see in their reading material. Oedipus, “We Grow Accustomed to the dark,” and “The Ass and the Grasshopper” all share a common theme of how fools are wise only when it’s too late. You only see the darkness when it has fully engulfed you.
