Communism is a form of government in which the materials and salary are taken for the good of the community rather than idolizing individuality. The idea of communism first began in the book The Communist Manifesto, which was written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. In the book, the two philosophers described their ideas and how they believe in the complete equality of all people. In order to attain equality, the wealth then has to be uniformly distributed among the population. Communism also states that all means of production be controlled by the state. This means that citizens cannot own or run their own businesses because the state controls everything. The problem with this is that many leaders will and have taken advantage of this idea and have used it for their own wants and needs. Many capitalistic countries have taken awareness of this ongoing economic system and have been careful to prevent it from spreading into their own country. There are many advantages and disadvantages to communism. An advantage of communism would be that the unemployment rate would dramatically decrease because everyone would acquire somewhat equal jobs with the same pay. Another advantage of communism is that everyone can receives health care and education is easily accessible. A disadvantage of communism is that businesses are controlled by the government are are limited to what they can make.
