During those hours I accomplished so much with the help of my mom and grandma. We prepared, made, and delivered the may day baskets. My contribution to the project was to make the cone shaped baskets, write happy mayday on them and also to fill them up with candy. While I did that my mom and grandma punched the holes and made the ribbon handles. A few days after we had delivered the mayday baskets we received many different compliments. One lady told us that it reminded her of the olden days when she use to make them as a kid. Also many people thanked us, and said that it was a very nice thing to do. Then another lady told us that it brightened her day. After we had received these compliments it made us feel so much better because we had made their days. When you are in the zone you aren’t worrying about anything else other than the work that you are doing, and I think that it makes it a 10 times better experience. Another topic that I think goes along with community service is goals:bettering your best. I think that they go together because I think that before you go out and volunteer you should stop and think about what you would like to get out of it. By doing this you can set smart goals which will help you know what you want to get out of it. I also think that the topic what’s in it for me also goes along with community service. I think this because like I stated above you should stop and think about what is in it for you. I think this because maybe you see volunteering as pointless, but then when you think about what
