I was assigned to work with different kids during the three nights that I was a leader. Shawn and Joyce were the first two kids that I worked with, and both of them are in second grade this year. They are both hardworking and wonderful kids, but they refused to do anything in the beginning of handbook time, which made me nervous because I was unsure of what to do. The reason why they did not want to do anything is that they did not understand what the verses that they have to memorize are about. Later, I figured out a way to help them focus better and memorize the Bible verses, which is to explain what each verse means in a way that they enjoy and understand. This turned out perfectly because they started to focus and wanted to learn more about God and the Bible. I felt relieved and happy in the end when both Shawn and Joy told me that they like handbook time. We played games such as, sparky crawl, rabbit hunt, and sprint relay. Sparky crawl is the game where kids race to crawl to the other side of the gym, and the fastest team wins. Rabbit hunt is like a dodgeball game, the teams that are inside the circle have to avoid getting hit by the balls thrown by the other three teams, and the kids that get hit have to go out of the circle. When time is up, the team with the most kids inside the circle wins. Sometimes the leaders will be inside the circle, and they have to avoid getting hit by the balls thrown by the four teams. Sprint relay is like a running relay race, and the fastest team wins. Like most kids, I also enjoyed game time the most because it was nice to see that kids are having fun and I also had the opportunity to meet other kids and play games with
